February 23, 2021 – Psalm 3:3-5
But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and He answered me from His holy hill. Selah. I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. Psalm 3:3-5.
What a blessing to raise our eyes to the Creation of the Lord, and give Him Praise. He is indeed the ‘Lifter of my head’.
Ephesians 6:10:11 admonishes us, Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Among the listing of the armor is the shield of Faith. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16.
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3.
Our Father in Heaven, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For our salvation belongs to You, O Lord, make straight my path to you. Help us to remember Your steadfast love. In Your Son, Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13:13. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35.
Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people! Psalm 3:7-8.
