November 17, 2020 – Psalm 95:1-3

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. Psalm 95:1-3.
When does singing to the Lord begin?  It begins the moment we realize the power and the glory of our Father God.  When we realize the presence of God in our world.
It began for me, when it rained, and Mother suggested I pray to God to make it stop. I stood at the windows and prayed. The rain stopped instantly.  What a revelation for a five year old!  Since then the wonder of giving difficulties to God, brings peace and praise that He hears and answers prayers. Every day I look at His Creation and find something new that sets my heart to singing.
The sound of thunder is a joy. God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things that we cannot comprehend. Job 37:5.  The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2
O, blessed God of Love, help me to hear your thunderings, Our Lord and our Creator of all.  Help my heart to know without a doubt the Joy that is ours through Jesus, Your Son.  I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Psalm 95:4-7.
