November 12, 2020 – Lamentations 3:22-24

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  I Thessalonians 5:16-18. Just as our Lord’s mercies and love never come to an end, our prayers of thanks our joys never come to an end.

Our God never changes. Our hope in Him is new every day because He is faithful and eternal. It is a choice to wait for Him and seek Him.  It is a choice to wait quietly for His way to become known.

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,  slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.  Psalm 86:15.  Those four words describe our One God – merciful, gracious, steadfast (patient) in love and faithfulness.

O, Lord, my God, I lift my soul to You.  Help me continually seek your salvation from the darkness of desolation and sin. I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

We hunger and thirst for your righteousness. “Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to Him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.  Lamentations 2:19b.

And I realize just how beautiful You are, And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us, oh, Oh how He loves us all.  (How He Loves – David Crowder Band)
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Lamentations 3:25-27.
