October 1, 2020 – Psalm 145:5-8

On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 145:5-8.

When my mind thinks, what do I think about?  My cares and lists of to-do’s?  Dreams of wants in the world? It is when we see a beautiful area of this world, and praise God for His Wonder of Creation. We meditation.  Seeing things as Jesus sees them, this is meditating on Him.

Even our thoughts and our words reflect His greatness and honor Him. Using words that declare mercy and love show what our mind dwells on and who we worship. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11.  How can we do any less than honor our Creator?

Dear Lord God, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (Psalm 37:14). In the Name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His Name together! Psalm 34:1-3.

The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made. All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol You. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Psalm 145:9-12.
