Thoughts from John
1/ 6 John 6
Bread from Heaven
Came to earth to love me
He came to bring peace
His love brings me to my knees.
The bread of Heaven sustains me
When darkness is all around
I hunger and thirst
To be spirit-filled and found.
In this life of turmoil and woe
I stop my steps and believe
I turn my eyes to You
It’s your love and hope I’ll receive.
1/7 – John 7
Some say Jesus is a good man
Others say He leads many astray
Unbelief and doubts trouble us
What sha we say about Jesus this day?
His time has come when He is
Our Lord and Savior is He
It takes no grand words
But from the heart, our belief.
He who believes in Me
From his inner most being
Rivers of living water flow
I believe in Jesus, I know.
1/8 – John 8
Who are you they asked.
Jesus told them, but they couldn’t see
You shall know the truth
And the truth will make you free.
1/9 – John 9, Matthew 13:13, Isaiah 6:9-10
Keep on listening, but do not perceive
Keep on looking, but do not understand
Render the hearts of this people insensitive
Their ears dull and their eyes dim
Lest they see with their eyes
Hear with their ears
Understand with their hearts
And return and be healed.
1/10 – John 10
Are you Jesus?
The question hangs in the air
Through many ages
and learned men declare
It is not He we worship
It is not He who is Lord
Let’s take a poll to learn
Who Jesus is that strikes a chord
Yet across the land
Many who know, we find
That Jesus Christ is Lord
He is of the hear and not the mind.
These followers have found His door
No matter what is told them,
They follow the Good Shepherd
And raise their voices in a praise hymn.
