Then comes the roaring of the thunder—
the tremendous voice of his majesty.
He does not restrain it when he speaks.
God’s voice is glorious in the thunder.
We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power.
“He directs the snow to fall on the earth
and tells the rain to pour down. Job 37:4-6 How often we long to hear the voice of God in our lives. I love this verse. It tells of the greatness of God who can still the sea, calm the storm. How can He not calm our spirit when we tread dangerous waters? His power and majesty conceived and created our world and the systems man is unable to fathom. Each day as I see the sun rise, I give thanks for his faithfulness all around me. How can we doubt Him? How can we wish Him gone? Ignoring Him, casting Him out of our sight is a futile attempt, for He IS, He WAS and Always Will BE. “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:8Mom wrote a poem about the celebration of Easter, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior:A holy hush descends at Easter dawning / Before the glad Hosanna anthems ring. To celebrate our Savior’s resurrection. / The anniversary of our risen King. The sun will rise and fragrant lilies open / As organs peal and worshipers arrive In bright apparel to share the joyous message / That ‘our Savior is alive!’But in this holy hush of Easter dawning / Beside the open door of an empty tomb We quietly worship Christ in faith-filled wonder / And sanctify our lives to give Him room.
