Blogs and more blogs. This is a great new adventure for me. But then life has been an adventure for me, why should today be any different?

This week we completed the “Faithful Witness” at Rogers Christian Church .
This event was preceded by building and painting of the new sets, casting the acting parts, preparing/copying the script on CD’s. More than 100 people helped in many ways in the kitchen, taking care of children, shifting actors in the scenes, opening the gate, greeters, those at the exits, runners taking the CD’s back to the entrance area, traffic control, and the singers dressed in Dickens-like costumes.

Not only did 239 cars drive through on the three nights and were blessed by viewing and listening to the 12 scenes, but our church family was greatly blessed by the labor of love and the gift to our community of the Life of Christ.

I sat in the Grandma scene with about five children, and enjoyed visiting with them about Jesus Christ. One little girl asked when did God come? Out of the mouths of babes. I remember talking with my 6th graders long ago when that same question was asked. I did not say, “I cannot discuss that with you.” I simply said, “God always was, is and will always be.”

Painting the sets has been a labor of love. I did not know I could paint anything at all, until the work on KidzCity began. It took 2 years to complete. Then I decided to paint the garage door this summer. It didn’t take near long enough, I was so disappointed when I finished.

Enough for the first time……The Golden Years shall return….
