December 30, 2016 – Isaiah 12:3-4

With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Isaiah 12:3-4

I searched for a gorgeous fountain to depict a fountain of salvation, I found man-made fountains, but the fountain I chose came from a photo of a small spring in Arkansas. The joy of the Lord comes from His Love that grows in immensity as we come to know Jesus more clearly.  His love takes root in our hearts until we have to share with others.Jesus came as a humble baby, lying in a manger.  He was persecuted and reviled and yet God called Him, His Son.  What was his motivation?  Love for you and me.  He wants to save us from our sin.  His Love makes us whole, purifies our hearts, brings peace among men, and a constant realization of the joy that living in Him grows ever deeper.Jesus is the most powerful Being in all the universe – He holds the whole world in his hands!  Every where I look, I see Jesus, in the clouds and the rain, the cold and the snow, in the bloom of the lowly dandelion, in every living creature, in the sunshine and the darkness.  He touches every part of life I see and know.  He is my strength and my steadfast hope!As we begin the new year, what will be our song be to the Lord?  Philippians 1:27 begins my song…

Philippians 1:27 begins my song… Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.

Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. Isaiah 12:5
