November 11, 2016 – John 14:1-2

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” John 14:1-2So many truths in God’s Word.  Do we understand the working of the mind? No. This morning I praised God for giving me only one day to live at a time. Where did that thought come from? God does not ‘jam’ several days into one.The KJV begins this scripture with, Let not your heart… We can choose with our hearts Who we worship!  God and Jesus – Father and Son. Trust God – Trust Jesus. When we trust Him, we do not borrow trouble from tomorrow.When Jesus was about to be born, Mary and Joseph were told, there is no room in the inn.  Jesus tells us that when we go with Him to Heaven, there is more than enough room. We won’t have to stay in a ‘stable’.  We will be WITH Jesus.  He wants us. When everything is ready, Jesus will come to get us.  He wants us to be where He is – always – through eternity where there is no time.The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”  Lamentations 3:22-24.Because God chose us before we were, because He measures our steps, because He has plans for us, because He planted eternity in our hearts, because when we accept Jesus, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit who guides and teaches us, and we know where He will be.I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice…To worship You, Oh, my soul, rejoice. Take joy, my King, in what you hear…Let it be a sweet, sweet sound, In your ear. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.  And you know the way to where I am going.”  John 14:3-4
