These two verses signal the beginning of awe and wonder. Once we know the beginning and delight of the Grand Creation by our Father God, we know enough to delight in the Lord our God.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:7.

In the anticipation, the wonder of those who come after as they gaze at the vastness of Creation, pleased God.

Yes, we were in His mind and thoughts as He thoughtfully created the universe. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. Ephesians 1:3-4.

As little children, we are filled with awe and wonder as we learn to walk and talk. As adults, we continue to learn and find joy in each new thing we encounter. It is just learning or is it more?

We learn that without breath, we will not have life. Where does this air we breathe come from? Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into His nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7.

Are wonder and joy related to learning? Are there levels of joy?

What do we have to be thankful for in this day and age of evil and sickness and death?

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18.

God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, He is faithful to those who truly love Him. We are not bound by rules but a relationship with our Lord God. The Father God who sent His Son Jesus to earth to teach us to love one another. The Jesus taught us to serve one another, be kind, and with God, there is no Love, Joy, or Peace in the world. Without Love, Joy, or Peace, we experience Hate, Sadness, and Chaos.

With Jesus, we look back; we look up. And we look forward. When we look back, we see the mighty deeds of our Father God. We look up to see our destiny, and we look forward to the path God has placed us!

God’s Word is a place of Learning and Rejoicing. Times of suffering, of following God, and obeying Him brings Joy!

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. Philippians 4:4-5.

What is the secret of knowing an everlasting Joy in your heart?

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
