Expectations!

What shall we expect when we see in the promise of a flower?  What does the Lord God who created us delight in?  The Lord God takes pleasure in those who hope in His steadfast Love.
His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor His pleasure in the legs of a man, but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.  Psalm 147:10-11.
We use the word, ‘hope’ in many ways rather than in His steadfast love?  Hoping for good grades, winning the sweepstakes, or for a good time, or a good meal is an end in itself.  However, when we hope in God’s steadfast love we are reaching for the steadfast love and describes the presence of God, His Power, and pictures His Purpose.
“There is no greater discovery than seeing God as the author of your destiny.” Ravi Zacharias.  Indeed, this Lord God is the One who sees and knows all.  He is present at all times. and fights for us. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.  Exodus 14:14. Moses assures God’s chosen people that there is no fear.
How is God able to help us?  Have we forgotten His Awesome power as our Lord God tamed the leaping waters of the sea?  Are we not able to see the mountains standing in place like sentries watching the deed of man while watching the Heavens?
In the third chapter of Lamentations, a man laments his condition on earth.  My soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is; so I say,
“My endurance has perished; so, has my hope from the Lord.”  Lamentation. 3:17-18.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.  It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.  Lamentations 3:22-26.
Is there anywhere I can run and know The Lord’s Comfort and Peace for my Soul?
In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me! Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; You have given the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.  Psalm 71:2-4.
We talk about our intentional way of living our lives for several reasons.  Have we considered the purpose of God in creating us and placing us in this universe?
What happens when our burden becomes so wearisome, we want to give up?  That is when we know our Lord is the place to go.  To The One who promises Peace, the One who gave His Life for us also says. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30.
Even though times may be difficult on earth at times, I know you are with me and walk beside me. I know when You love me when you discipline me.   But I also know your invitation is, Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.  The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. Revelation 3:19-21.
Do I want to live?  Indeed!  Then I know this is my deliverance: for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,  as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  Philippians 1:19-21.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Psalm 33:18-19.
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from Him.  He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.  Psalm 62:5-6.
Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon you I have learned from before my birth; you are He who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of You. Psalm 71:4-6.
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your Word.  Psalm 119:114.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word, I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.  Psalm 130:5-6.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.  Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Romans 12:12-13.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. I Corinthians 13:7-8.
