September 2, 2020 – Psalm 55:6-7
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake His way, and the unrighteous man His thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:6-7.
What do we look for in life? What is most important to us? For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21.
God IS. He has compassion and He forgives. At different times man has declared God dead. And yet God’s Love captures the hearts of the humble and His Love gives us Hope through the years. Matthew 6:33 echoes these same words given by Jesus… But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. The next verse instills trust in the Lord: Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.
Oh, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, strengthen my faith in You, that I trust in Your thoughts and ways and believe. May your constant love forgive my sins and strengthen my joy in righteousness. Oh, Lord, I celebrate the Goodness of your ways. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. Psalm 36:5-6.
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:3.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.
