June 22, 2016 – Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1How have we been made right in God’s sight? Faith. Faith in God to provide salvation from our sins. It is the gift of grace. When we are given a gift, do we leave the bow and wrappings in place? A gift is received with joy, and very soon the wrappings lay on the floor as we investigate the wonders of what lies inside the wrappings. Jesus is our gift of grace. He is the gift to each of us. As we unwrap this gift we realize that this gift will keep on giving for a life time. I am more excited to learn more of this gift of grace at 87 than I was at 8 years old. The treasures of insight, peace and joy ever increase as I contemplate His Love and what it means to live each day to its fullness.I didn’t know why I began writing Journal Snippets in 2014. Verse by verse, faith-moment by faith-moment, prayer by prayer, I am learning to stand with our Gift-Giver in confidence. I joyfully share God’s glory in this life and will share in God’s glory when He calls me Home. Blessed is the Lord God.This is the promise from God to greet the day: The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:7-8Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Romans 5:2
