July 22, 2020 – Psalm 31:19
Oh, how abundant is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You and worked for those who take refuge in You, in the sight of the children of mankind! Psalm 31:19.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:5-6. And we will not want, for Peace and Joy of the Lord continually overflows as we trust God in the hard moments of life.
Waiting on the Lord is not standing still. It’s actively serving Him where we are. This takes the Lord’s courage and strength. I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14.
Our Father in Heaven, Help me be aware of the coming of the Lord, as it says, For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (I Thessalonians 5:2) Each day, as I await Your Coming, help me be aware of the needs of others, and love one another. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy:1:7.
Love the Lord, all you his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord! Psalm 31:23-24.
