July 14, 2020 – Psalm 33:4-5
For the Word of the Lord is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. Psalm 33:4-5.
What describes God? The writer of this Psalm describes the Word of the Lord as upright, faithful, righteous, and just. We are witnesses to His creation of the earth filled with His Love. The grandeur of creation has inspired His people through the ages.
How did this unfathomable cosmos (universe) come to be? By the word of the Lord and the breath of His mouth. He whispered the sea of stars into existence, He gathers every drop of the ocean as His treasury.
Help us to remember, our Lord God fashioned the hearts of all the inhabitants of the earth (Verse 15). He observes our deeds.
Dear Heavenly Father, the Creator of our Universe, I stand in awe of You, I bow in wonder at the Work of Your Eternal Glory, that I see. Help us to focus on the unseen things that are eternal. I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. Psalm 33:20-22.
One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. Psalm 145: 4-5.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; He puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him! Psalm 33:6-8.
