May 23, 2016 – Psalm 136:1-2

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.  Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:1-2As a young parent, instructing my children, I found I repeated the same words over and over, sometimes impatiently.  One day as the door slammed again, I found myself speaking to the door.  I laughed, as I said, “Don’t slam the door — OK, slam the door – but mind me!”Praying continually keeps us in touch with our Creator.   The ‘WHY’ of each command is given repeatedly.  His faithful love endures forever!  These five words become like flashing spiritual lights in our hearts as the years go by.  They are filled with wonder and bring hope in the darkest hours.  God’s faithful love creates an everlasting joy that underlines every breath we take. “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.” John 3:16Always be joyful. Pray continually, and give thanks whatever happens. That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16-18.Give thanks to God for His Great Love that is forever.  Have you considered counting all the ways He has blessed you, led you, comforted you, given you justice and performed miracles in your life?  His great love that lasts forever for each of us is the essence of Wonder and Grace.How can I say thanks for all the things You have done for me?
