July 3, 2020 – Isaiah 35:3-4

Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:3-4.

How many times God has sent messengers to us saying, Fear not! The first recording is Genesis 15:1, After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”  Then Moses spoke to the Children of Israel, After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.” Exodus 14:13.

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Luke 2:10.  This is when Jesus was born.

There is no reason to fear anything in this world as long as we Fear God and trust and love Him with all our heart, mind and soul.

Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad
and say evermore,“Great is the Lord.” Psalm 35:27a.

Dear Loving Father, Open my eyes and heart, I want to see Your glory, O Lord.  Draw me ever closer.  Fill my heart with your song of joy and gladness all the day long and into the night. Sorrow and sighing flee from me.  This I pray, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:5, 10.
