May 29, 2020 – Isaiah 9:6-7

For to us a child is born to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace, there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. Isaiah 9:6-7.

Seven hundred years before Jesus was born, Isaiah, the prophet, was lived. He was born in Jerusalem, Israel.  A similar verse describing the birth of Jesus in Luke 2:11 contains,  “For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.“

The Power and Glory of Jesus is eternal as Father God worked in Him, raising Him from the dead after his crucifixion for our sins.

May His name endure forever, His fame continue as long as the sun!
May people be blessed in Him, all nations call Him blessed! Blessed be His glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with His glory.  Psalm 17, 19.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!”  Luke 2:13-14. 

“Worthy are You, our Lord and God,  to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.”  Revelation 4:11.

May He be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth! In His days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more! May He have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth! Psalm 72:6-8.
