April 11, 2016 – I John 4:15

IJohn4-15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God.  I John 4:15Yesterday in church, we sang an old hymn with added lyrics, I Need Thee Every Hour.  The added lyrics are: My Lord, I need You, oh, I need You, Every hour I need you, My one defense, my righteousness,  Oh God, how I need you, Oh God, how I need You.  You’re my one defense, my righteousness, Oh God, how I need you.   (Matt Maher)When we know God, when we live in Him whom we have confessed.  Jesus Christ sends us his Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Comforter, our Guide and our Teacher who lives within. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, John 14:26. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.  John 14:13.  And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  Acts 2:38.When we rise in the morning, when we close our eyes to welcome rest, praise God for His free gift of grace, the grace through His Son Jesus.  Let the song never leave your heart and mind.  There is no other one that loves us more and we can call Him our truest Friend.  He walks beside us and His forgiveness is like no other.  He and alone can bring hope and strength. Our trust in Him is our response to His Great never-ending Love.  Amen and Amen!By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. I John 4:13-14.//www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuvfMDhTyMA  (I Need You)
