April 16, 2020 – I John 2:3, 5-6

And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. but whoever keeps His word, in Him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in Him: whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked. I John 2:3, 5-6.

What a blessing it is to walk with Him and know this verse is ours. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10.  

Have you wished that you could be little again, and not have responsibilities and know you are completely loved? As we grow up, we learn we are never free from obedience for we are not our own. When we keep His Word, our love of God grows and becomes perfect.

There is nothing so precious to see as the son of man who walks with God learning to walk and talk like his father.  When we walk in righteousness like Jesus, we walk in His way. We do not want to hide from doing good. We are not fearful or shrink back from the words,  “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!  Revelations 22:20b.

 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17. Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die.  Proverbs 11:19.

And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we may have confidence and not shrink from Him in shame at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him. I John 2:28-29.
