January 9, 2019 – Isaiah 40:28-29

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grows weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. Isaiah 40:28-29.

How many times in a lifetime will we exclaim, “I’m so tired?” Especially, when someone tells us what is expected of us next.

There is One who never sleeps, who never rests, except on the Seventh Day, after He completed Creation.  Genesis 2:2-3. He made the seventh day a holy day, and we to rest from working.  Psalm 121 begins, I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Do we really understand God and His Power? Verses 10 – 18, reveals the ways no one can compare God.  Verse 12 gives an understanding – Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand
and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

A young man can be truly exhausted, yet if they trust and wait on God, He renews their strength. Did you know an eagle’s wing is stronger than the wing of an airplane and its grip is 10 times stronger than a human hand?  God created this powerful bird.

Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? Psalm 71:19.

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:30-31.
