November 28, 2019 – Psalm 62:1-2, 4
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast Love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night. For you, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work; at the works of Your Hands, I sing for joy. Psalm 62:1-2, 4.
How does thankfulness begin on this Thanksgiving Day? How do we put aside pain and troubles? Where could I go, but to the Lord.
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered. Psalm 105:3-5.
When we see each moment that passes, through His Eyes, we won’t miss a single miracle or blessing He gives us. Even times of trouble bring us joy as when we wait and watch how He bring joys through His plans for us.
God knows what is, and what will be. He sent Jesus to teach us. Wanting peace? Jesus wants us to remember all He said, including – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27.
This one day is not the only day to be thankful. Giving thanks to God is an every day and always happening. How? Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20.
The Lord reigns; He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; He has put on strength as His belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. Psalm 93:1-2.
