October 16, 2019 – Psalm 111:1-3
Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is His work, and His righteousness endures forever. Psalm 111:1-3.
During the night, I walked into the kitchen. The celestial moonlight cascaded into the room. I remembered the verses in Psalm 121:3-4, I memorized as a child. He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. What comfort to know God watches over us as we sleep.
When I behold the glory of God’s Creation on earth, I see the many different shades of delightful colors artfully displayed in light and shadow! I began school with eight crayons in my box. God’s choices of color are limitless.
The way God loves gives us Hope each day. He is gracious and merciful. He provides the food needed for body and soul for those who look to Him in reverence and awe. Praise for Him endures forever!
There is no end to His Goodness. His peace hovers near like a dove, I know there’s a heaven above. The way that He loves is so thrilling because His love reaches even me. (Elmo Mercer).
Extol Him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! Psalm 117:1b-2.
He has caused His wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalm 111:4-5.
