September 17, 2019 – Psalm 86:1-3

Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in You—You are my God. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to You, do I cry all the day.  Psalm 86:1-3.

Is God listening to us? We cry out many times to Him.  Do we not know that our cries show that we trust the Creator who made us?  The One True God who will never forsake us. He is always present.  As individuals and as nations we glorify your Name.

Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your Truth.  Psalm 86:11a.   Being teachable means we listen and obey.  Then Jesus came, to teach us. Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians how to live and show we walk in His Truth.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.   How will this be?  We put off our old selves and are renewed in the Spirit in our minds.  Through Christ Jesus we ‘put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.‘   Ephesians 4:24.

I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me;  You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. Psalm 86:12-13.

May this be our Song and Prayer forever!  I will glorify Your Name forever, for great is your steadfast love for me!  Glory, Glory, Glory to our Lord.   How great You are, O Lord!

All the nations You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your Name. For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God. Psalm 86:9-10
