September 4, 2019 – Psalm 8:1-2
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. Psalm 8:1-2.
Our Lord, He is our Lord. There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like Yours. Psalm 86:8. Who else could have created man? Who else could have set the stars in place? Who else can love like You?
When I have trouble, I know I can call on you, and you will answer. You created us to worship You, O Lord. You set us aside to govern the works of Your Hands. You crown us with glory and honor. Your majestic name is heard throughout the earth.
Help our eyes to see your love and wisdom in our lives. Help our ears to hear your voice only. Dim our desire for the world’s pull on our hearts.
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:5-7.
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. Psalm 36:9.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:3-5.
