August 7, 2019 – Psalm 5:6-7

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you, In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 5:6-7.

And He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own...”  Phrases of lyrics sung for a thousand times come to mind, and the words of our Lord God come alive.

When fear strikes, an uneasiness,  strikes my heart, I know it is time draw closer to the One Who Keeps my Soul.  You draw me closer to your side with Your mercy and love and forgiveness.

Oh, Lord, there is no end to my praises and thank You’s.  No other One walks beside me, and keeps my feet from falling into evil ways.  No other One delivers my soul from death.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:15-17.

It is good to give thanks to the Lordto sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.  Psalm 92:1-2.

How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me? Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love for me! (Crouch).

I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you. For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. Psalm 5:12-13.
