July 31, 2019 – Psalm 9:1-2

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of  Your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2.

The very act of praising God with thanksgiving  shouts how great the glory of God is. His love is abundant for me.

How rich I am, Since Jesus came my way… Redeemed my soul and turned my night to day. How very rich, how very rich, I am! (John Peterson).

David counts God’s wonderful deeds and sings praise to His Lord. Everywhere I look, I see His Glory.  He is my stronghold in times of trouble. Trusting in Him gives me a song to sing of praise for my riches in the Lord. There is greater glory in a sunset! A brighter twinkle in each star! There is much more promise in a rainbow! More music in a singing bird by far! (Peterson)

When I look at your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?  Psalm 8:3-4.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him. Psalm 28:7

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  Psalm 8:9.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples His deeds! Psalm 9:9-11.
