July 29, 2019 – Psalm 44:1-3
O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds You performed in their days, in the days of old: You with Your own hand drove out the nations, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, but them You set free; for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but Your Right Hand and Your Arm, and the Light of Your Face, for You delighted in them. Psalm 44:1-3.
Great Are You, Lord! My heart sings – You give life, You are love, You bring light to the darkness, You give hope, You restore, Every heart that is broken, Great are You, Lord, It’s Your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise! (Writers – David Leonard / Jason Ingram / Leslie Jordan).
Without you, Oh, Lord, I would not be. You give me the breath and strength to be who I am in You. I am nothing without you! We give You thanks, and praise for You daily guide us. In the discipline of following your commands, we grow in understanding. You protect us with your Right Hand. We rejoice in the Light of Your Face.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him. The Lord is the strength of His people; He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Psalm 28:7-8.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. I John 3:1.
In God, we have boasted continually, and we will give thanks to Your Name forever. Psalm 44:8.
