May 27, 2019 – Psalm 139:4-6
You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! Psalm 139:4-6.
Reading about the Children of Israel as they traveled away from Egypt and in the wilderness, I realize they were never alone.
Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to the rear of the camp. The pillar of cloud also moved from the front and stood behind them. Exodus 14:19. Who is this Presence? Who is with us before we were born and after we experience the sleep of death? Our God counts a day like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day. (From 2 Peter 3). God is omnipresent and omniscient. He is present every where at the same time and has unlimited knowledge and perceives all things. He didn’t study a book. He wrote The Book!
No matter where I am, He is there. He knows what I think, before I think it. He knows everything about me, when I travel or when I rest at home. He sees each of us before we are born and watches us as we were formed. He records every day of our lives, before we are born.
Then God sent His Son, Jesus. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his One and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
I pray, Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your Presence! Psalm 139:7.
