May 8, 2019 – John 15:7-9
“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.” John 15:7-9.
The close relationship between God the Father and Jesus the Son has always amazed me. “If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:7. When we love someone so deeply, we desire to live in a way that pleases them. Without Jesus Christ, living a life of forgiven sin is impossible.
The wonder of the Garden of Eden is its sinless beauty life. When sin entered in by man wanting to ‘be’ God, Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden. Jesus told the disciples to bear much fruit. The spiritual fruit of Love, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness and Self-Control (Galatians 5:22-23) becomes a spiritual Garden of Eden.
The spiritual relationship is ours with God the Father and God the Son as we obey God’s Commandments. We truly LIVE in His Love when we accept living daily with Jesus. The Joy Jesus has in His relationship with His Father, is ours as well.
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Each day we will proclaim as David did, My cup runneth over!
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:10-11.
