March 13, 2019 – Psalm 92:1-3

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre.  Psalm 92:1-3.

A thankful heart invites joy into every day living.  A thankful heart finds it difficult to be offended and be critical of those around us.  A thankful heart is ours through remembering all God has done for us.  A thankful heart sends waves of  joy through our day.   Discontent and finding fault destroys all thoughts of God’s Love.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.  God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16-17.

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.  Ephesians 1:4-5.

Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.  No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us.  I John 4:11-12.

Oh, Lord, I see your Creation all around me.  I see your love in the Spring rain bringing your love through the harvest, and I rejoice!

You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me!  I sing for joy because of what you have done. O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.  Psalm 92:4-5.
