March 11, 2019 – Psalm 36:5-7

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;  Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of Your wings.  Psalm 36:5-7.

All the ways God provides for us on this earth is astounding.  His unfailing love is repeated!  These verses reveal how our Lord loves us without fail and teaches us how to love with assurance and without reservation.  When we love others, we reveal our love for Him.

Do we think of God’s unfailing love when we look up into the sky?  Do we see God’s faithfulness as we watch the clouds send blessings of rain?  When we gaze at the grandeur of mountains, do we see God’s righteousness?  When we think of the depth of the ocean, do we think of the justice of our Lord? As we see God’s care for people and the animals alike, will we join in with our Father God, in caring for others?  

When we ‘snuggle’ into the love of the family of God, do we realize this is our shelter in the shadow of His Wings?  When we respond to the abundance of God’s Love in joy, we are drinking from the River of Delights He has prepared.  The sunshine we long for comes from God. His Word is the Light that guides our way!   The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid?  Psalm 27:1a

You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. For You are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.  Psalm 36:8-9.
