August 19, 2015 – Romans 14:17

Romans14;17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  Romans 14:17Words that build up, faces that smile, laughter that bubbles out, thanksgiving that is quickly on the tongue — are the results of righteous living.Eating and drinking simply satisfies the physical appetite, but righteous living satisfies the spiritual need that God instilled in each of us before we were born. We were created by Him and for Him.Our Lord God is the genesis of our hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  From this hope in believing…comes joy and peace all of us crave.  Without this hope in God, we remain empty, devoid of joy and peace.  Anger and hatred fuel our lives and increase the emptiness as we try to quell our needs with the things of the world. There is no other way, there is no other one, who fills us with abounding, steadfast love with joy and peace.  Just believe in Him.May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
