February 20, 2019 – Isaiah 43:12-13
First, I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord. “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of My hand. No one can undo what I have done.” This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of.” Isaiah 43:12-13.
These words hold promises relating back to the history of God’s people, the Children of Israel and their Exodus from Slavery. It is when we escape from evil over us, a relationship builds with the One who gives us saves for an Eternity.
My favorite portion of this scripture from Isaiah 43, are the words — From Eternity to Eternity, I am God. Nothing can erase God or cause Him to lose His Power over this universe He created. We cannot begin to fathom the extent of Eternity. We hold on to life, desiring to live forever. We try stay young in our bodies and mind, not wishing to lose our tenuous hold on life.
It is only when this truth becomes our prayer and our truth, can we be assured life continues beyond this world. But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; You are my glory, the One who holds my head high! Psalm 3:3. Isaiah 32:3. Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it.
“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.” Isaiah 43:25. Then God sent Jesus Christ, the Messiah…
I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. Isaiah 43:15.
