February 4, 2019 – Psalm 27:1,3
The Lord is my Light and my Salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Psalm 27:1, 3.
These verses were set to music with a melody reaching for the sky in praise of our Lord God. The Light that is the Lord draws us to Him, falling to our knees, we worship Him. He is greater than we can ever understand. His years cannot be counted.
Life-giving water on earth begins as He draws up water vapor and then distills it into rain. Then God sent Jesus to earth. On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from His heart.’” John 7:36-38.
Is it any wonder that I praise Him, and adore our Jesus? Each day brings new delight from our Father God. Psalm 19:1-4 tells us, The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.
My one desire and my prayer is to delight in His Presence and meditate on His Faithful Love. Forever!
The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. Psalm 27:4. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvlU1nt197c)
