January 11, 2019 – Psalm 37:34

Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along His path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. Psalm 37:34.

When hope leaves us, where do we turn?  Psalm 33:22 tells us – Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone.  How strong is God’s Love? God never gives up on us.  He loves us continually.  

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. I Corinthians 13:7.  That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 2 Corinthians 4:16.

No matter how big the storm seems on the horizon of our life, we know one thing.  The Lord rescues and helps us when we follow Him.  He is our fortress.  Traveling steadily through storms and hardships, holding on to our Lord, not only renews us, but to those about us who stumble and fall.  The light of our Lord God shines through our stalwart faith and draws others to the only fortress we have in times of trouble, our Lord God.

King David said this about Him: ‘I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.  No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts His praises! My body rests in hope.  Acts 2:25-26.

The Lord rescues the godly; He is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him. Psalm 37:39-40.
