June 2, 2015 – Psalm 5:3

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3My Aunt Irene sent me a small card that I posted on my computer with the message… His mercies never come to an end, they are new Every Morning:  Great is Thy faithfulness.  That is the encouragement and reminder I need to look to God in prayer and my heart bounces up expectantly.  (It used to be my body that bounced out of bed with joy.)  Now the expectantly awakening is the joy of knowing God leads us and guides us through each day.  I can request things from God.  I can talk to God.  He is my Father.  His ways are not my ways.  His thoughts are not my thoughts.All I can do, all I want to do is trust Him; take refuge in Him and rejoice.  This newness is renewed each morning.  I let God lead me through this life.  He loves me and He loves you.  He is our friend who gave us life and breath.  He was with me before I was born. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.  Psalm 139:13-14The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4.  Yes.  I am His before I was born.  Without Him, I do not become a living being.Let us sing joyful praises forever.  God blesses those who live for him and You, O Lord, surround us with your shield of love!But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. Psalm 5:11-12
