August 28, 2018 – Isaiah 29:15

What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their evil deeds in the dark! “The Lord can’t see us,” they say. “He doesn’t know what’s going on!” – Isaiah 29:15.

At the age of seven, I learned my favorite word was not one word but two.  ‘Playlike’!  This was my favorite word until I found the word, Pretend. Anything was possible in my world of pretend! I often hid what I pretended from my parents.  They wouldn’t understand.

This scripture opened my heart to the understanding of Who God is. Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.   Psalm 139:1-2.  This is when I realized God made me and knew me inside out.  There was nothing I could hide from Him. but even in darkness, I cannot hide from you. To You, the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to You. Psalm 139:12.

If I deny the Lord God created me, I am pretending.  God formed me and watched me before I was born.  (Verse 15).  God understands and knows me fully.

Every day of my life is written in His book before I lived even one day. I will never understand the depth of His love for me or His Son’s sacrifice on the cross. I only know the beginnings of His Goodness, Joy, and Peace on earth.

My prayer is this, Search me, O God, and know my heart. Lead me along the path of everlasting life

Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall, the thing made say of him who made it, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of Him who formed it, “He has no understanding”? Isaiah 29:16 NKJV
