May 10, 2015 – 2 Corinthians 9:8-9

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 2 Corinthians 9:8-9The celebration of Mothers in full swing…memories of joyous occasion fill the ether waves.  Where there is a mother, there is thought of sufficiency.  Sufficiency of time, milk, loving hugs, food and prayers arise there there is a baby in the house.  Who answers all the prayers of anxious mothers everywhere — that calm their fears and give them hopes?  It is our Loving Almighty God.  The one who is Sufficient for us all.God has distributed freely the Gospel.  He gave up his Only Son that we might become sin-free and filled with sufficiency of righteousness.  And why is this — so that we abound in the good work He has prepared for us.Motherhood is a God-given experience.  One that is a picture of how God loves us.  It is the living illustration of what God’s love is.  Through this Christ Jesus, who gave his life for us and was raised to walk in newness, we have confidence in God.We would not have survived this life in this world without the sufficiency of our mothers.  Their love, their prayers, their nurture is life-giving, even as we cannot survive this World with out the Love of God.  God is Love.  He is the essence of Love.  His every act emanates from His Forever Love.  Discipline and Blessings from God create in us His Joy and Understanding and Peace.Our sufficiency is from God.  And today we celebrate the ‘Ambassadorettes’ of God who rock our cradle of life.  Yay for Mothers who are heart-memories, Mothers now in this moment and Mothers to be.Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. 2 Corinthians 3:4-5
