June 20, 2018 – Psalm 37:5-6
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and He will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:5-6.
Does a daisy complain about being asked to bloom? Perhaps one daisy tries to be more delicate like a rose. No, a daisy is a daisy and beautiful because God created it.
We bloom when what we do is committed to the Lord God. It takes a long time to understand even mundane work glorifies God when completed in the name of Jesus. Trusting in Him, allowing God to help you, makes all the difference.
I remember a young girl who hated the chore of washing dishes. This was in the days before the dishwasher. It is when she saw dirty dishes as a gift through this poem…she understood. “Thank God for Dirty Dishes. They have a tale to tell, While other folks go hungry, We’re eating very well.”
It is when we live life with thanksgiving and praise, and realize the blessings God showers on us daily, we trust Him.
Then we are ready to ‘be still in the presence of the Lord‘. Isaiah 40:31 gives us assurance and hope. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Psalm 37:7
