April 10, 2018 – Psalm 91:9-11
If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. Psalm 91:9-11.
How often we need a refuge, a safe place, where evil cannot touch us. A sanctuary where there is no wickedness, no quarrels, no unrest, and no curse words. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
A praise song comes to mind and heart…Jesus is the answer, For the world today. Above Him there’s no other, Jesus is the way. Jesus is the answer, For the world today. (Andrae Crouch).
The following verse is God’s truth! Even in the death of a beloved one, this calming peace fills our hearts from Jesus. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27.
And the promise – When they call on Jesus, He answers. Jesus does not turn His back on us. Jesus is with us, and He rescues and honors us with a long life, and gives us salvation.
Have you ever wondered, why me? For in one place the Scriptures say, “What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him?” Hebrews 2:6. The answer? Simply grasp His Hand and walk with Him each day!
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation. Psalm 91:15-16.
