April 2, 2018 – Matthew 11:5

The blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. Matthew 11:5.

John the Baptist wanted to know…Is this the Messiah or shall we keep looking?  He sent others to ask, as he  was in prison.  And the answer came back.  People were being healed from blindness, deafness, leprosy, lameness, and the dead are raised to life.

Those who walked with Jesus learned the Good News.  People were given hope as they walked through this life with Jesus. The Good News we celebrate is Jesus died, was buried, and rose to defeat death forever more.

Jesus walked, his dusty feet in sandals, and changed the world with the act of loving those in his path.  He asks us to follow Him, even as he asked Levi –As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed Him. Mark 6:14.

Would you have followed Him?  Do you follow Him?  It matters Whom you walk with in this world. It matters what destination you choose. There is hope in Jesus at the close of our lives.  We believe in Jesus, Who defeated death. We, too, will rise from the dead, when we believe, are buried with Him in baptism, and rise to walk with Him.

So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord.  For we live by believing and not by seeing. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7.

When Jesus comes the tears are wiped away. He takes the gloom and fills the life with glory,
For all is changed when Jesus comes to stay.  (Then Jesus Came).

And He added, “God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.” Matthew 11:6.
