February 16, 2018 – Psalm 118:19-20
Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the Lord. These gates lead to the presence of the Lord, and the godly enter there. Psalm 118:19-20.
How often we desire to go into a place and it seems to be impossible. We try every key on the huge ring we carry. Surely there is a way. We bang on the gate, demanding entrance. Nothing seems to work. We offer money, we offer allegiance, and nothing works.
What is so precious behind the gate? It is rumored a King lives there and only the righteous may enter. We were young when tried to gain entrance. Now we are older, we have no money to give. We have lost our positions in life. All I have left to give is my heart and my praise to the King.
The Gate swings open, and I realize that I am in the Presence of The King. Now I know. I fall to my feet, in recognition, “You are my God, and I will praise You!” I continue, “I will exalt You!”
It is then I know the truth, This King is the God of Love. And He loves me and you. He sent Jesus Christ to earth to save all men from their sins, so we can live in His Presence forever, for He is good!
And I know without a doubt, His faithful love endures forever!!!!
Give thanks to the God of gods, Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His Love endures forever…from Psalm 136
You are my God, and I will praise You! You are my God, and I will exalt You! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 118: 28-29.
