February 2, 2018 – Ecclesiastes 12:12-13

But, my child, let me give you some further advice: Be careful, for writing books is endless, and much study wears you out. That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. Ecclesiastes 12:12-13.

From an early age, we are intrigued by words in books and what they say. Parents are elated when their children speak their first words. Words are written and spoken every day, with love, in anger, in jest, and to sell or entice.

John 1:1, 4 – In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

Jesus told him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.”  Jesus is the Word.  John 14:6.

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17.  The question is this, whose words do we listen to, which words motivate and change us? Are  the words we choose to speak loving and encouraging? God watches and sees everything we do, and hears every word or thought we have.

When we love one another and love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, God protects us from Satan.  Trusting is a part of loving.  Not trusting Him reveals our doubt on the power of God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20.  And in Psalm 146:1-2 – Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord.  I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.

God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad. Ecclesiastes 12:14.
