March 24, 2015 – Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6Where there is faith, there is belief. Where there is belief, there is faith. Where there is God, there is love. Where there is love, there is God. Can’t have one without the other.God IS. If He does not exist, we do not exist, for He created us. Each tiny babe who enters this world is an expression of God and His Love. His love flows through us continuously for an eternity, as long as we have faith. We are the only ones who can stem the flow of God’s love — when we refuse to believe, when we ignore God, and when deny God.The confidence and hope we have in God — our faith — is built on believing that all of Creation was formed by His unseen command. The world we see did not come from anything that can be seen.This assurance and faith in God gives us the desire and will to live in the hope of things to come. And we sing the old hymn, “When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul.” (Spafford)Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
