March 19, 2015 – 1 Corinthians 15:58

1Corinthians-15-58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.           1 Corinthians 15:58Stand in the edge of the ocean and feel its tremendous pull against your feet.  The tide threatens to push me in a free fall.  I stand focus on planting my feet in the sand to withstand the power of the ocean. So is the power of the world.  The world pulls us here and there, wanting our loyalty and our soul.  Lord, I ask for wisdom to understand truth and love.  And I would stand firm in Your Immovable Grace.Sinking in the depths of a watery grave of sin is sure death.  God gives us victory, not through anything we have done, but through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I plant my feet in the faith in Jesus Christ – strong and immovable.  Whatever I do in the name of Jesus is my work that is never useless.Jesus said –Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward. Matthew 10:42.Be of courage, strong and immovable in the Lord, 24/7.  Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.  Psalm 36:5For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.  But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.        1 Corinthians 15:56-58
