December 25, 2017 – Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8.

Apostle Paul’s admonition is to think about true things. Fill your mind with noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable things.  True things.

What is true? Who speaks the truth?  There is One Man, whose birth we celebrate!  In John 14:6, Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Today we celebrate the birthday of Jesus, who is our Truth, and our way to God the Father.  Christmas Day is not the end of celebrating His Birth.  It is the beginning!  We celebrate the teachings of Christ Jesus and the way they change our world, one heart at a time! Without His Great Love for us, he would never have hung on the cross to pay for our sins.  The greatest celebration is when we sing, He Lives, He Lives! For Jesus Lives and is coming again.

In a world where change is constant, our God is faithful! This Christmas Day, we celebrate more than a birth – we celebrate Truth, Life, and the Way to God!!!

Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. I Corinthians 1:7-9

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9.
