December 21, 2017 – Romans 8:37
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37.
Does this mean victory is through our efforts? The Voice (version) says, But no matter what comes, we will always taste victory through Him who loves us. THROUGH HIM and because He loves us! It isn’t anything we do. It is what Jesus is and has done for us – this spells victory over this world.
This baby Jesus, born so long ago, is our strength and our hope. His love is so strong and lasting, nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus. Not even the fictitious heroes man creates in his mind that slays the ‘enemy’. Who is our greatest enemy and barrier from victory? We are — when we erase God from our heart and mind.
Mark 12:30 tells us how we become His – And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” And then we realize — all we need is Love.
How does Jesus and the people around us know we love him? Jesus says – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35.
The greatest gift we can give is the Love of Jesus to one another!
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39.
