December 14, 2017 – Romans 8:26-27
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Romans 8:26-27.
What do you pray for? What is the first prerequisite of praying?Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38. The next verse is, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
What is the key to loving God and allowing His purposes be ours. The key is to love and follow God’s example. We love because God is Love. Without God there is NO love. God IS love. He sends His Spirit to plead for us to live in harmony with His will.
We have a choice. Do we love the things of the world or the Good that is God in our lives? Do we wish to make ourselves great in our own eyes? Or do we glorify our God with all we are? It is our God who loves us so much, He sent His son to die to save us from our sins. Now THAT is LOVE! Learn to love like Jesus!
We love each other because He loved us first. I John 4:19.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28
