September 1, 2017 – Isaiah 33:20

Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet home, A tabernacle that will not be taken down; Not one of its stakes will ever be removed, Nor will any of its cords be broken. Isaiah 33:20.

Jerusalem, the delight of our Lord God, His home on earth of justice and righteousness, has through the ages been a battlefield of good and evil.  Just as our hearts are battlefields of good and evil.  God cannot NOT love us. For God is LOVE. It is when we obey His commandment to love one another even as He loves – can we know His peace.

Our treasure is the fear of the Lord.  He is our sure foundation and provides salvation, wisdom and knowledge.  When we wake up in the morning He is there, when we lay our heads down in slumber, He is there.  When we praise God and live in Him, sing…You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. Psalm 49:17.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Psalm 37:4….Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Psalm 112:1…For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs… Zephaniah 3:17

Though the Lord is very great and lives in heaven, he will make Jerusalem his home of justice and righteousness. In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure. Isaiah 33:5-6

But there the majestic Lord will be for us,  A place of broad rivers and streams, In which no galley with oars will sail, Nor majestic ships pass by Isaiah 33:21.
